EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP)

Free counseling services available during this difficult time of being home and separated from each other and our loved ones. 

Optum Health -Coping with Public Health (Helpline)

 

  • Toll-free support helpline available 24/7 at (866) 342-6892

  • A direct line to care picked up by a mental health provider

  • FREE to all employees, household members, or dependents through Santa Clara County Schools Insurance Group (SCCSIG)

  • Up to 5 free telehealth counseling sessions per year including services for:

    • Emotional support

    • Mediation

    • Work life

    • Chronic condition support

    • Cancer support groups

    • Substance abuse (for yourself or others)

    • Consultation and referrals for treatment

  • Possibility of more than 5 sessions if in-network

Other Resources

MUSD MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

  • Mental health services does not require PCP referral for either Kaiser or UnitedHealthcare (UHC).

  • Kaiser members will be treated within Kaiser ecosystem of treatments and UHC members within UHC treatments.

  • These are not EAP services. 

  • Experiences in mental health, and related services, may vary between individuals.

  • Some mental health services may require a copay if related to the individual's medical plan, depending on treatment.

  • Telehealth/televisit is the new normal for both Kaiser and UHC.
